Yamaha / Bosch E-Bike Speed Unlock / Delimiting for Free in 5 mins.

Tested on 2015 Yamaha E-Bike system with a Haibike sDuro HardSeven RC. -- I am not responsible for any damage you might cause to your bike when doing this, any void warranties or legal trouble. This is to be used for off road use only -- ^ However, I see no reason for why this would cause any damage as the bike will still not pull more power than before, it will however continue to assist you past the 15mph limit where wind resistance is greater so your range will be lower. Also if you do have to return the bike for warranty it's very simple to return it back to the stock configuration.

Hei,
I have a 2015 Yamaha Haibike sDuro... I have done this modification and work great. The only downside it that you will not be able to actually see the correct speed, but i just add a extra cheaper comp. byke to know the speed and i can get a average of 35 km/h and a max in flat terrain of 42-45 km/h.. So conclusion, it's a great improve for your bike.... Be aware that this is not illegal : ) -
Have you been riding like this for awhile now? How is it holding up? Any issues you've encountered? How much faster would you say you can comfortably cruise at?

Familiar voice, your the guy who buys consoles and fixes them lol

Great idea, shall try this soon
-
will this work on haibike bosch cx 2016 without bringing up error codes ..thanks mark

Surely if you just take the magnet off the spoke and don't replace it the motor will think you're at 0 speed and kick in and continue to do so
-
norsk?

does This work on EcoRide? Plase answer!

shimano steps drive system fyi

omg dude thank you SO MUCH for this fix!!!! worked on my Scott E-Sub comfort 2016 bike!!! so simple to set up!!! Just secure the parts tightly!
-
does this hack make your bike go fast with the boost button as well
-
I love you, thanks
-
I have the opposite problem: I find the ECO mode way too powerful for my needs (I rather have 25% assist or so and increase the range).
Does anybody know if there´s an easy way to do this? -
Thanks, and what speed is now shown on the display ?

no need to tape or glue a magnet onto the crank. just get a 12x3mm neodymium magnet (pennies on eBay) and put it on the inside end of your pedal axle, won't fall off no matter how hard you ride. also a pair of small zip ties will hold the sensor in place instead of tape.

Hello.
I've developed your solution a little bit so that it is easy to switch between lawful and and high speed. (Uses only 2 to 5 seconds). (Only Yamaha motors i think)
Allow the sensor to be on the same side of the arm that it is originally.
1 / Move the sensor further from the center of the wheel. Set it so that the line on the sensor points on the middle of the screw for the pedal.
2 / Move the magnet on the wheel so that it is directly over the line on the sensor.
It is still legal Having just moved sensor slightly.
To convert it to high speed:
3 / Attach a small metal plate on the magnet so that it is not detected by the sensor. Test your way to how thick it should be.
4 / Put 4 to 6 strong magnets on the screw for the pedal. The sensor is so sensitive that it can detect the magnets on the pedal even though it is on the opposite side of the frame.
The magnets must be strong. I bought some neodymium magnets from China. Very cheap.
Create the metal plate so that it is easy to take on and off. Do not think the magnet is strong enough to hold a metal plate when the wheel rotates. I made a bend in the plate and sawed a notch in it so that it was stuck in the spoke of the wheel.
PS: I think 250 watts is far too little power. Can not hold more than 15 to 20 kph while cycling steep uphills. -
I have an electric scooter 250W 15mph - wonder if anything can be done to speed it up, it doesnt even have a speedometer but speed is capped at 15mph

work's perfect. many thanks. I have tig welded a 6 mm thread to the back of the pedal .meaning I can just screw on the original speed magnet . make for a pro looking job.

does this really work?
I'll be happy with cruising along at 18 mph
