The Harz Day 2 Part 2

This is the part 2 of the 2nd day of The Railway Touring Company and Steam Railway Magazines Steam & Christmas Markets in the Harz Mountains. In part 1 we road on the steam special from Braunschweig to Asse. We start at a foot crossing between Asse Station and loop, where we see Sjong 3736 depart with the empty coaching stock for the return trip with V 45 211 on the rear. Back at Braunschweig we see Sjong 3736 depart with the empty coaching stock and then arrive again, with our 1 way steam special to Vienenburg, and wile we are on it I do a bit of heads out filming. After we arrived at Vienenburg, we caught the local train to Wernigerode were we visit The Harz railway sheds. At Wernigerode sheds we see some of the Harz railways fleet of steam locos and the odd diesel. We also see a DB DMU passing on the main line followed by two diesel locos on an engineers train. Nachdem wir zu Vienenburg gelangt, gefangen wir den lokalen Zug nach Wernigerode wurden besuchen wir das Harz Eisenbahn Remisen. Bei Wernigerode Remisen, die wir finden Sie unter Einige der Harz-Eisenbahn-Flotte von Dampf Loks und die ungeraden Diesel. Wir sehen auch eine Weitergabe der Main-Line, gefolgt von zwei Diesel-Loks auf eine Ingenieure DB-DMU Zug. Der Rest der Reise finden Sie unter Tag 3 und ab.

O.K We will look into this in the New Year. Sounds like a lot of fun! I have myself and two friends with a lscence for PCV so it;s a plan on the drawing board then.Roll on 2010.!

Nice 5* You might be up in the mountains, but the White Cliffs Luncheon express saw more snow than you did!

Thanks, in the summer we can fill the bus with youtube cameramen and chase the Torbay Express, at least we could see over the fences that are going up everywhere! I would be happy to see it earning revenue for a Heritage line as long as they had a PCV driver available.I know Toddington and the SDR have them on occasions I have been there. As long as there is safe storage at night it would only cost diesel to run it.

Hi Henry60103 . I guess you r abroad at present nice steam clips, If only I could escape work. Nice clips,thank you for being there and showing me what I am missing. Happy Christmas and We at fontedeimarmi wish you a wonderful new year with loads of steam trains to film. It looks like there will be more on the main line than ever in 2010. Exciting times. I have been looking at buying a classic Routemaster in original condition, to use on heritage railways,+specials. Any ideas. Happy X+New Year
