I bought a bike with sram trigger shifters, and i'm having wrist pain. does anyone know if these are just growing pains? i'm sure it's the shifter because my left hand rarely shifts and have no issues with that wrist.

SRAM over shimano every time. Over the years I've had them all from X5 to X7 to X9 and shimano from deore to XT, the best performing and best feeling by far is my X9 setup on my remedy.

so scientific wow lmao

The thumb only on SRAM means for safety so you have more fingers on the grips for extreme riding, though I still prefer shimano dual release that can use both thumb/index which is more versatile.

SRAM much better

I'm familiar with Shimano shifters. I have 1x10 SLX on my bike. I want to upgrade to XTR or XX1 1x11, but I can't decide which one. I have no experience with SRAM drive trains personally. I want easy, smooth shifting. I demo'd a Niner RKT a month ago and it had XTR shifter, with XT rear derailleur and cassette. It felt great! Still curious if I'd like SRAM better.
