Shimano SLX 1x10 drivetrain conversion

A short video showing how I converted my Shimano SLX mountain bike from a 3x10 speed drivetrain to a 1x10 speed drivetrain. I like the simplicity as well as the lighter weight and improved chain retention offered by the 1x10 set-up. Low gear is 32-36 and high 32-11 which gives a speed of about 34 kmh at 90 cadence - plenty fast enough for me. Low gear seems good enough for the trails I ride too.

Nice job, now swap the forks for some rigid ones and save another KG ;)

What is the brand of your stem? It cool as its light in weight. And I like the way you measure the chain. I have never seen people measure that way and it really helps to give a clue if a chain is worn. Good work!

You have spray-painted your brake calipers and levers? :D
