MTB SLO Snowbiking (Powder Biking) on Studded Snow Tires
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
I made my own studded tires with some old Maxxis tires from a trash. There are 352 screws on front and 372 screws on rear tire. Bike now have a superior traction on ice and compact snow. Also a way better traction on fresh snow. It can be driven also on tarmac on the way to local trails. Nice job on the tires. What type of screws did you use as i'm using 1/2" sheet metal with a round head. Did you use a tube liner between tire and tube as tubes are prone to pinching... good edit by the way, cheers

Interesting bike. The rear shock sits below the top tube significantly lower than what is traditionally seen, attaching to the down tube as opposed to hanging from the top tube. This gives the bike a unique appearance. A Lapierre....I have a Lamere! How's the weight of the bike, minus the snow studs?
