Mountain Bike Crash 1990 - 94

A complete change of pace, people falling off mountain bikes. There is probably more pain, injury and blood-shed in these 3.1/2" minutes than any of my four-wheel race clips! Various riders fall off to music from an old vhs tape, then we move on to the European series, Emily Schlager makes a noisy and dramatic exit, she could have been a tennic player with a squeal like that, Hermann the German has a painful looking frame-banger against a rock, and Hoydal of Norway looses the rear-end over a rock and takes out a bunch of slow-reacting spectators. Most amusing!

1990 - Downhill on rigid forks and no suspention yet. Those were the days :)
I bought my first MTB (GT Talera) when I was 18 years old in 1992. At this time there were just a few suspention forks on the race tracks and also in the bike shops like Rock Shox 1, Monitou 1, Scott Xtra Shock and AMP. I bought me a Rock Shox Mag 21 oil/air suspention fork in March 1993 with 50mm suspention travel which was a lot back then. I still have this fork and it still works even after 22 years now. I had better ones, like RS SID World Cup Ti and others but my old RS Mag 21 is still in busines ;) -
