Matte Black Trick - Custom Paint Tip When Spraying Matte or Flat Colors
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
http://CollisionBlast.com - When spraying matte or flat colors, I have a quick simple trick for you to try. This method does require basic buffing skills so be sure to try this on a test panel to perfect method before trying on your car paint finish. The end result makes a very cool custom paint effect, which does not have any paint lines. I don't know if there is anyone else using this method or if they have had satisfactory results. All I know is that it worked well when we have performed it. I recommend trying on a test panel to determine if you like the results or not.

Great video. I really like the glossy with the matte. Very nice subtle touch.

Was that clear coated Donnie .Thanks for the tips as always.

very nice effect. when you clear the panel, to keep the same effect, what kind of clear would you use and how would you finish the clear? obviously need to protect the paint so it can be cleaned in the future. of anything rubs or bumps against it, black will show it!
thanks! -
My 73 Vega was painted hot rod black (satin black) and when I covered the car with a tarp for transporting it during a rainy day, the tarp was flapping in the wind and created a few glossy spots on the paint.. Is there any way to fix this without re-painting it? Im pretty sure a single stage paint was used..

Thank you so much, this is a awsome trick! made me subscribe instantly lol
To show this two tone effect best, which kind of clear would you spray over it?
wouldnt a matte clear coat take the shine away that you have created?
does the two tone appearance go away if you do a few coats of clear?
its great your passion transfers into the students creativity! -
This is cool, was looking to do somthang like that on my vehicle too & I'll try it.

Hi Donny, I'm looking for some advice, I'm painting a bicycle frame, matte black and i wanted to create a matte white finish on other parts. Now i've sprayed the whole bike with grey primer, sanded with 220 grit and resprayed the white parts with a white primer (as i can't seem to get hold of a white matte spray can for some reason).
Now I'm wondering, should i sand down the white primer with a high grit 1200 + then add a clear lacquer and sand that down further to give the same tone as the matte black i have (the matte black is pretty much the same as what yours is in this video) or should i just spray over the primer without sanding then sand down the lacquer gloss so it's only mild? Bit lost as i don't wanna mess up the finish.
Cheers -
