Where is this bike now?
-
Can you track down a Pace RC30?
-
but the chain!! it couldn't possibly go to the biggest sprocket or were the bigger sprockets not used at all in downhill?
-
US style... I guess in all Europe except UK we control the front brake with our left hand.
-
I pointed out in another vid of this bike, look up a 1998 yeti downhill bike just to see how fast they progressed in a few years. Crazy.

Mc Roy was a legend and so is this bike. I loved my 90s specialized fond memories of me and my brother smashing through components and upgrading it to deore . This must be priceless I would love something similar

For posterity's sake, could you guys document all the greatest mountainbikes from yesteryear?
There's so much tech right now that people have no idea what exactly were the pros using back in the day. If you had more of these types of examples, it would be great for those who are into the tech. It would also be useful for those who might stumble into some classics that are sold as junk.
I hope that professionally made bike replicas and restorers would be more of a thing as it is with motorcycles and automobiles. -
When i have riding buddies complaining that their gear is holding back their riding, i show them bikes like these.

nerd mode the pedals are XT 747 not DX nerd mode
If those spokes were soldered I can't imagine how the terrible Disk Drive handled the Mammoth DH course! -
Cool Bike. It just goes to show you really don't need the latest and greatest to rip it up. Rider skill must be outstanding to race this beast down the mountain. Those brake levers look exactly like my Avid Speed Dial 2.O's (also red, on a '95 Stumpjumper). They are still super trick with leverage and reach adjust. Paired up with Avid 1D V brakes thet are incredible stoppers.
