Ireland's Kelvin Batey BMX World Champion New Zealand

Ireland's Kelvin Batey has just taken the World Number One title at the BMX World Championships in New Zealand in a stacked final. Kelvin had been killing it all day with three moto wins, the first from gate 8, he then won his quarter final, second in his semi and of course first across the line in the final. It's not the first worlds podium for Kelvin, he has already been on it twice but this is his first Gold. As Kelvin says "Its taken 25 years but its definitely been worth the wait. Finally -- World Champion" Once Kelvin gets back from New Zealand we'll get his thoughts on the whole experience, it'll probably take a few days for it to fully sink in.
