hello bikeman. I've got a loose 5-speed on an old bike of mine. The chainrings are moving quite freely on the hub, making gearing less comfortable. Although replacing it is not a bad idea at all for future purposes, would another solution be to tighten it? Or is the looseness a sign of being outworn? thnx in advance. I do not own any tools yet.

bikeman! the clear plastic guard to help protect the spokes on mine is f-ugly dark and i wanna remove it altogether. i'd rather just trust my low limit setting. can i easily remove it once the freewheel is removed? thanks!

Bikeman, you truly are the man! Your videos have been an incredible benefit, and saved me $ Thanks!

Just set myself up with an account so I can write this ... SO grateful to you for your vids, I've watched most of them now I think . I had a rear wheel deflector come off and destroy four spokes on the freewheel side, and thanks to several of your vids I was able to take my freewheel off so I could fit new spokes AND I got the wheel true :-D EVEN BETTER I then took the hub apart because it was loose and cleaned and regreased it. My bike is like new! Thank you so much!!!

Hello.....Oh Great Bike Master......I own matching His/Her Panasonic Tourist 5-speed FF bicycles, and am looking for the right tool for removing the freewheel. I've used a vernier caliper to get an accurate measurement of the inside diameter where the splines are located. If I measure from the wall between one spline and the next....across to the other side.....I get 0.795". The same measurement from the front edge of a spline across to a spline on the other side comes up 0.765". What tool?
