I've got a problem with the screws on the plate where the handlebars are attached. The bottom screws seem to be less tight when I fasten them as tight as possible than the top screws. I also don't really know how much I should fasten them. I know it's 5 nm but from which point on?

Wow when I picked up my first mtb in 18 years, a new giant stance I paid the cash and walked out without even a manual or clue on what to do to get started, thankfully I found this channel and got it all figured out enough to get riding and learn my way about the bike

First stem is to add Loctite 243 to every single bolt. Check if the bolts are overtightened from factory(which happen on my 2014 trek fuel ex 7 29er) if that happens put a Allen key in the freezer few minutes, and pour warm water on the bike, and un-tigthen it.
Put Loctite on the Rear dérailleur bolts/screws,and adjust them, leave to cure for 24H, and your Rd don't need to be Readjusted in a while,if not it can take some days before you have to adjust it.
There might not be grease when there should be( my bike had no grease in the (Formula hub)Freehub, after 60km it had wobble and was very noisy) I had to buy A 11mm allen key to take it of to see what the problem was, there was zero grease on the bearings.
None of my bikes had Loctite on the bolts.
Check the pivot bearings, see if every thign moves smoothly and noisy free, unscrew the shock screw for free movement.
There might not be grease in the pivot bearings or not enough grease.
I have bot had this issue, but seen a lot of complaints on forums about this. -
Hey guys my cassete started to rust although i take care of it and lube it everytime i go back from a ride and before the ride. How can I stop it from rusting even more and get rid of the rust?
I keep my bike in a shed and i wonder if the cassete could rust from That because especially in Winter it can get a bit moist in the shed. -
Can I use a compressor instead of a shock pump? #askgmbn

Anyone have any tips on fixing a seat post that always slips. I have got a little bit of grease on it and have the clamp as tight as I can get it (with a hammer).
