Coach Todd of http://nolimitstriathlon.com shows how to pack your triathlon bike using the Thule transition bike case. You will need: Tape - masking and duct tape Zip Ties Bubble wrap or other type of protective wrap Pedal wrench Multi tool or allen key (wrenches) Here are the steps I follow: 1) assemble bike stand 2) remove front wheel and skewer 3) put bike on stand and secure with fork mount and bottom bracket strap 4) Remove seat post and saddle and seat post clamp (if yours comes off) *** use tape on post to know how seat height when putting bike back together *** 5) shift bike to smallest cog on back wheel 6) remove pedals (turn to rear to remove) 7) remove rear wheel 8) remove rear derailleur (if desired). I find with this case you do not need to 9) loosen stem bolts and remove stem cap 10) wrap chain stay with bubble wrap 11) zip tie chain together 12) wrap front end of bike with bubble wrap 13) take off handlebars and attach to frame with duct tape or zip ties 14) remember to note how many spacers are above or below your stem so when you reassemble you are at the correct height 15) tighten the stem bolts and re tighten stem cap 16) wrap saddle and seat post 17) attach to frame with zip ties 18) add repair bag to frame using water bottle cages 19) wrap pedals and add to other cage or inside wheel bag pocket 20) disassemble stand 21) pack bike in case 22) add wheels to bike bags (with skewers in pocket) add to case remember to remove air from the tires 23) put top of case on box. Secure box and happy traveling! :) Remember to subscribe for more great videos! Thanks and Happy Training! Coach Todd www.nolimitstriathlon.com
