Why don't u just pump through the dips
-
I want a third trial with pumping the DH sections.
-
another tip, the faster you pedal the faster you go
-
wow cool

Over very long distances it's hard to continually pedal unless you are quite fit. Other than downhills where it's obvious, what sections do you recommend resting your legs a little?
-
Others always overtake me at offroad like this during a race ~~...Thnx for the tips Chris...I'll surely try n practice this....

C'est normal que ça va plus vite la deuxième fois,tu connais déjà le parcours et en plus ont voit bien qu'au deuxième tour il force plus..

What I noticed this weekend was that on the technical /bumpy sections of trails, people riding full sus bikes could pedal more and carry more momentum over rocks and obstacles (rather than getting bounced around them) . But I was wondering weather for XC races it would be more efficient to ride a hard tail or a full suspension, as I'm thinking about competing later this year.

When you ride the same lap again, it's faster any way cause you know the route already
-
wait so if you pedal you go faster?

I am new but that is one of the few tips I knew instinctively. Now I know I was doing it right all along. Thanks!

@graham676 yes, you can slide around corners! some corners its better to try and "Rail" to maintain speed, but there are definitely loose corners meant for some good "slashing"!

Excellent. Thanks for coming back to let me and others know. I'm glad you've put the tip to good use and found how much easier it makes things in the right situation. Share it to the world! :D ~ Chris

Great tip Chris, I used it on a local climb which has a few dips like the climb in the video. I'm now faster (as to be expected) but what surprised me was how much easier it was.
