How does a lock like that, located where it is, not get completely loaded up with sand and mud when youre caught riding in the rain?

cable cab be easily cut by thief using small cable cutter!!

That guy looks incredibly Dutch. Kudos for the video however, clear and to the point without distractions.

One more thing to think about. Unless your bike is at least about 20 kg, you want to make sure that you secure your bicycle to some sort of fixed object via a chain or cable, both of which Axa sells, but other makers do that too. Dutch bicycles, called omafietsen or opafietsen, are usually between 20 and 25 kg, making them very difficult to pick up. If you can pick up your bicycle and walk with it for more than 80 metres, or at least pick up the back wheel and roll it for more than 200 metres, you want to secure your bicycle to a fixed object even if you are just popping into a shop. A few accessories can make this happen if your bike doesn't have that mass, especially concentrated over the back wheel. Metal chaincase, metal fenders and a very study luggage rack can make lifting it a nightmare to a thief. And of course if you loose your key, then it's OK to call the police, show them a form of ID to prove who you are and they can look up the serial number of the bicycle with a bike registry where you live and they can help cut off the lock.

where you can buy flexibile mounting strips bought Axa defender but inadequate openings for fixing ?? plz. help !!

The goddamn frame lock i bought didnt come with those flexible strips.
I think ill just use a bunch of zip ties, which sucks. -
Great video. are the strips one-time use like zip ties? How secure are those strips? They look like thin metal and can be pried off with enough force. I think losing a front wheel would be the least of my worries. This lock is intended for times when you're walking into a business and your bike is within view. I live in NYC and this would come in handy so I don't have to carry U-locks in addition to my heavy kryptonite chain. The cable would come in handy to secure my saddle.

@MasterOfSparks The defender plug-in cables and chains can go through the frame and front wheel, then around an object, and plug into the frame lock. Securing it all together.

Anybody want a free front wheel? This guy is giving his away.

Ironically that is the exact model, year, and frame size of my Bianchi Milano that got nabbed back in 2003. It was during the great Kryptonite bic pen thing. My lock was in the mail to them, to get a replacement. My Milano had a cheap cable lock on it that someone snipped.

Glad the video helped rickdrayer. Just FYI for anyone else; we included the strips with every lock. We also sell the strips separately. All can be ordered from our website CantitoeRoad.
