Just wondering if I can use chain lubricant or penetrating oil instead of grease for the thread on the pedal spindle? What are some other alternatives that would work as well?

Excellent video, I tell all of my customers always if they want to loosen the pedals, loosen always towards the back/back wheel of the bike and tighten always towards the front/front wheel of the bike. Never fails....!!

Will you Please watch your video an 1:50 and you are turning wrench counter clockwise telling us to turn reverse. Depends on which side of bolt/peddle youre approaching, which probably should be addressed in an instructional video but what you video and from the head of bolt you are turning counter clockwise saying its reversed.

They say "counter clockwise" when it's only so from the camera's point of view, not the screwer's.

good to know, gonna replace the cheapos that came on my hybrid...

easy if you have a pedal wrench when you have just bought your new bike ,but i haven't got a wrench ffs !

Of course i don't have a long 6mm Allen or a long 15mm wrench...
