Climb better....ride hardtail

Something I never see in video's but is still a pertinent problem for most riders; that of pushing the handlebars as you pedal uphill, this habit will only sap energy and make the steeper sections that bit harder. Instead, try to focus on making it feel as natural as possible, having full range of motion and stability.

Also very important to point out, pedaling technique is crucial too. You want to pedal as constant and as "round" as possible so as not to lose grip. Clips I suppose help a lot but since I've never used clips I can only speculate.

My god you’re running low tire pressure! Did you ever damage your rims with that?
Thanks for the video! I will definitely try it out. -
I just haul ass and power through it.

Hey mate Ik this video is a bit old but I mountain bike myself but I don't have very strong legs I have a 2015 hopper and I'm wondering would this help me
-
I wish there was a dropper post where the saddle shifted slightly forward when fully extended. This is especially wanted for all mountain bikes that are fairly slack.

what is the Kangaroo kicls you in the ass, you go faster?

Your tips are good but that high-pitched sound coming from your microphone on your videos makes them annoying to watch.

Interesting Technique
Im getting back into riding to get fit & loose weight & I tend to stand up & peddle on uphills like i did when i was a kid.
Is there any situations where stand up peddling is required or should i try to avoid it. -
You forgot to mention that seat high matters at first place otherwise you burn all your energy out very quickly. Nice video, cheers.

I would have enjoyed seeing a comparison of regular position to this position. Just food for thought for the next time you may cover this or other similar techniques.

You didn't mention how to get the oxygen in me to keep going like that. I will get there. I may be old but I'm boot tuff

Slide your bum forward to insert the nose of your seat securely in your brown eye while putting weight on the rear wheel. It may not be the most comfortable riding position, but it is the most affective in steep sections.
