How to choose the correct light for MTB night riding
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
This video explains why cheaper LED lights are not suitable light when riding off road at night. Or even on unlit roads at night. I talk about what to look for when buying lights and what kind of lights to buy. There are beam shots at the end of the video. 9:19 Find out more about CREE here: http://www.cree.com/About-Cree/History-and-Milestones Learn more about me http://www.joelbabb.co.uk Into music The Librarians https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Librarians/203993599617627

Thanks for watching. Great advise Chris. Faster rides will benefit from brighter lights.

Around 300 lumen is about the baseline for riding on desolate roads or gentle trails at a moderate pace. You may want to look for a lumen rating closer to 500 if you wish to ride at higher speeds off road or on more technical terrain where seeing more of the trail is critical. There are lights made at over 1800 lumen but they are incredibly expensive and at that point cars are starting to flash you. Excellent video.
