Thank you for your videos!, to date I fixed many wheels but never from scratch, now going to... how do I know where to start (hub side) as first spoke in order to have the logo facing directly to the valve hole?

It's a kind of bike encyclopedia, for anyone interested in learning more about the mechanics and terminology of bicycles it's a useful resource.

Sorry Dan you laced the wheel up wrong! You left hardly any room for the pump head because you have spokes crossing at the valve hole. The spokes there should be diverging or almost parallel to leave plenty of room for the pump head.

Cool Video! I have a question, if my wheels came with 2 different sizes of spokes for the front and rear wheel, which side should I use the shorter ones and which side the long ones?

I've screwed up 4 wheels using this vid. When you start the inbound spokes on the second side of the hub you need to put it in the next hole AWAY from the valve hole. Not the opposite side of the valve hole. Makes it a real pain to air up a 20 inch wheel.

This is a way to lace a wheel,it happens to be one of the wrong ways.Please, read a few books or articles on the topic.

WARNING!!! He forgot something that's "key". The spokes on the DRIVE side are around 1mm shorter than the BRAKE side. Just using one size of spokes will throw off things when truing the wheel. A child would have known that, 63fixed. C'mon man!!!!

Hello ALL!
One of my spokes broke and I must put a new one in. BUT it is the one we put from outer side towards the centre of the spokes. Do I have to remove most of the spokes before put the missing one back? If so, how... it is hard to manage it - i dont want to bend the spoke
