I followed the official video and its different to this - It didn't work for me. This has a slightly different routine and it worked. (It was removing the rear bubbles in this process, that made the difference in my issue) Cheers MBR!

You can't go wrong with Al.

followed this for my SRAM Guide brakes and it worked perfectly. No issues at all. Happy to be back on the trails.

follow the formula video on here manse by vimeo works a treat. just remember to wind brake lever in close first then back out after to get a good bite

Just took off the Avid Elixir 3 (made by SCAM) brakes my bike came with
and threw them in the trash. Totally locked up against the rotor with
less than 3 hours of use and not worth the time trying to fix. Absolute
garbage. I just wish SCAM would go out of business already. The only
component manufacturers worth a damn are Campagnolo (road) and Shimano
(road and MTB). I just replaced the brake rotors on my car (2004
Infiniti G35 Coupe) and the pads on the Brembo brakes and it was 100
times easier than trying to work on a SCAM product, seriously. -
odd... he puts his front brake lever on the right side?
I guess it's an Australian thing? -
thankyou this was very helpfull..i just sold my sram brakes for shimano

Do Not follow these crappy Instructions!!!!!!!

This isn't the correct way to bleed the guide brake!!! Follow the sram tech video instead!!!

This worked perfectly, thanks!

Brilliant clip. I bled my brakes for the first time during the week but wasn't happy with the outcome. Did it again on the weekend, realising what I could have done better and now my brakes are absolutely awesome. Thanks heaps!!!

Two questions: Isopropyl alcohol is no longer recommended for wiping the bike off? Also, the step of pressurizing at the caliper while slowly releasing the lever is no longer necessary? Thanks.

Fuck me, what a faff...
-
what glasses are those?
-
it never works... frustrating... NEVER enough pressure in the system... :((

Best thing to do with Sram/Avid hydro brakes is to throw them in the Bin far to many issues Dot 5 fliud is caustic can strip paint off your bike so no thanks, Avid BB 7 mechanical brakes are good thats it . Go shimano TRP/ tektro much safer
