Excellent video. I have the same derailleur and was able to get it working to perfection while watching this. Nice bike, as well!

Great thanks. There is another screw near the high and low limits, that pushes on the hanger. What is it for?

I know your components are slightly different but have you ever had an issue with shifting on your shimano MTB stuff using a sram chain? I broke my chain after 25 miles on my new giant trance three and stuck a new SRAM pc 1031 on and it shifts like crap in the rear and now likes to drop chains up front. It had the kmc 10 speed chain on with the deore stuff from the factory and worked flawlessly and never dropped a chain. Chain length is right, derailleur is adjusted properly. I put the old chain that I repaired back on to test for the sake of my sanity and back o shifting flawlessly. Is this a case of no cross compatibility between sram and shimano?

My bike shifts well but I still get that annoying sound from the rear gears. Does that mean that I still haven't managed to adjust it or is something bend?

Great videos !! Very easy to understand and follow. Of course what I'm saving on repair cost , I'm looking to spend on some upgrades. I have had my Kona 29er now for over a month riding mostly weekends.
I'm thinking of doing a 1x10 conversion I never ride in the big front Cog anyway.
Keep up the grade videos -
