There is one question. Does 5 kilograms of pure muscle can affect more the velocity of climbing? Consider that the velocity riders are more muscular than endurance riders

Hello guys! What to ask a simple but yet painful question for every beginner cyclist on the planet. How can you sustain pedaling out of the saddle for longer time? I ride almost 5 years now and I can't pedal more than 5-10 seconds before it's gonna hurt like crazy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. #askgcn

Doesn't losing body weight make it harder for the same person to put down x amount of power though? That's why big guys are typically better sprinters, right?

That is not body weight man. Additional weight comes with muscles too. That will change your power output. Unless you mean all the extra weight is on fat.

The problem with the analysis is that 5kg of body weight does not necessarily translate to 5kg of dead weight. If the body weight loss is mainly fat, then the analysis is probably accurate. But, if the weight loss is lean muscle mass that could translate to a loss of power in the power to weight ratio.

In the real world the difference may be more than in the video- All that extra weight in a person will be live metabolic tissue which has an oxygen demand (even if it is just stored fat) thus reducing the efficiency of the body, not quite the same as 5kg of dead weight on your back, but also another reason to shed mass from yourself rather than your bike.
