since a long time i want to play a goldtop and here "she" is. actual i wanna buy the gibson studio goldtop, but they were sold for over 1000€. A lot of money for a studio. So i decided to "test" the epi and i like her :) Its a really good guitar for low money. effects: Boss dd7, BOR Clone. Amp: Fender Blues Deluxe

play some pink floyd on it

I just can't bring myself to buy an Epiphone LP. That headstock offends every fiber of my being.
-
which microphone did you use? sounds really great! recorded at low volume?
-
Great sound & play !
-
What backing track are you using?? could you share it?
Btw cool playing -
Epiphone 56 RI's are some very nice entry level LP's. If you want a TRULY nice handmade US of A guitar check out Pelham Guitar Company

You don't got no rhythm.

What happened to the pickguard?
-
I prefer my Epi Dot over my My Gibson SG.
-
Thats some funky junk brother
-
Are those the stock pickups?
-
perfect pairing of guitar and amp!
-
got this for 350 used at guitar center, and its sick.

I have a '56 gold top. I played a full-blown Gibby LP the over day. I prefer my MIK Epi Gold Top - even at the same price point, it would be better.
-
Beautiful sounding..I love the P90´s and you´ve got the blues!. Congrats!
-
I'm serious. Maybe I just got lucky, but it's the truth.
-
great player and sound !!!
-
I have an epi LP that plays better and sounds better than 90% of the gibson LP's I've played.
-
no, it just high price.

You'd get very different sounds because the standard has humbuckers, which are thicker sounding than the P-90s of the goldtop. i love my goldtop, and, as i've found with a lot of cheaper humbucker guitars, that the standard is kind of muddy. just my opinion but i really prefer the gold top :)
