Electric SuperChargers Mythbusted
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
Will you make power with an eBay Supercharger? In this episode Marty and Moog install a system to see if the claims on the box actually turn into real world power. But they need a new car to work on and only have $100 to spend... you installed it wrong way... i taked a look... fan spins in wrong direction

So im wondering did you guys check to see if pressure inside the air cleaner and the rest of the system increased. Was it all sealed properly, thanks for exposing a waste of money.

this is some funny stuff

8:50 I've got Roadkill flashback right now :)

300 $ ??? With 20 $ more I got my KKK turbine reconditioned which means that the core was replaced with a new one, only the shell was left from the old one that had chipped fins. If there is demand there will always be supply, even for glorified computer fans...

Order smile them limit middle owner normally official tomorrow.

did you guys remove lil crapy air filter in the car before tryin the turbo? if not id think it would do a bit of a block on the electric fans
-
12:38 - you suppose to deduct the power consumed by these blowers end you would end up with loss every time I am guessing.

SUPA CHA CHA!!!

I would have plumbed electric supercharger up to carb, removing original air filter and housing. adjust air fuel mixture on carb. You would have maybe gained a couple horses.

They got more horsepower without the electric fan in the intake because there is less obstruction to air flow without the fan. The increase on the first run was because they reduced intake restriction by disconnecting the air filter. The pipe through the hood is a cold air intake without any air filter. There should be no "turbo lag" from the leaf blowers because they are already running at full output as soon as they are turned on. A loss of power at low RPM is probably due to intake restriction caused by the leaf blowers offset at higher RPM by the ability of the engine to suck air through them. They should have tested the cold air intake without any obstruction from the leaf blowers. A functional electric supercharger can be built by powering a standard turbocharger or a positive displacement supercharger with a hefty electric motor instead of by exhaust or a belt. The electric motor may need to produce as much horsepower as the engine in this car, i.e. a 30 horsepower electric motor, but that is typical of the power consumption of a belt-driven supercharger.

these are shit electric turbochargers, there is no fucking way a motor can create nearly enough rpm's to spin that turbo fast enough. Real e-assist turbos run a air compressor into the turbocharger chamber

will it work on 150 cc single cylinder 4 stroke bike ?

Man fuck yall im still buyin one fer my 62 bel air!!!

The thing sound like a truck now
-
you forgot to tune the carburetor! verify the afr

I don't see any mods to the air cleaner. I'd say all that "compressed" air is leaking right out the inlet under the cleaner snorkel that sucks hot air from the exhaust manifold during warmup, so they're not getting any boost whatsoever. As well, if the engine has a carburetor, you might have to increase fuel pump pressure to compensate for the change in manifold air pressure.
If you're gonna to a test at least do it justice. This was stupid. -
and even if it worked like a turbo you would then need a tune intercooler bov ect
-
if you spent over 300 on that you might as well buy a real shitty china turbo
