Electric Mountain Bike Off Road Test - Easy Motion Neo Xtrem vs. Stromer ST1 Platinum
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
We decided to race the Easy Motion Neo Xtrem and the Stromer ST1 Platinum up the Double J trail near Chattanooga, TN (I think it's a part of Stringer's Trail) and filmed it using helmet and chest cams. The Neo Xtrem has a suspension fork and is a bit lighter but the Stromer ST1 Platinum has a larger motor. Towards the end we parked at a lookout to see how far we'd come. Both bikes performed great, climbed the mountain like champs. eBikes were provided by Certified Electric Bike Specialists in downtown Chattanooga, TN. Their website is http://electricbikespecialists.com/ and they offer sales and rentals.

In easy motion bikes, does the battery charge when you are going downhills.

This is the video convinced me to order the 2015 easy motion evo 650b! Looked like the Easy Motion was just better overall for single track. My main use will be commuting, but I've been an MTB rider for 30 years, and have used my 1995 Mongoose IBOC for commuting 8 miles to work occasionally. I still have my first MTB, the Heavy Takara Highlander! I was recently diagnosed with CHF (49 year old), 30% EF rating, bad luck Viral attack, but want to continue riding bikes, on and off road. Plus with electric, I can ride to work more without being sweaty, and work more on the way home. Thanks for this video, i'd love to see more like it!

I want that helmet, I guess I'll have to wait 3 weeks to get it, EBay has couple at Hong Kong

I would not recommend taking the ST1 to a singletrack. With all the weight and stiff fork (mtb is optional) it is way too much rattling and hard landing. Not a match against real mtb like Haibike.

I just want an e-bike for mainly commute to work sometimes off road. I am considering neo 650b and the neo extrem lite. which one do u recommend?.

Is your companion wearing an English riding helmet?? Funny. Nice vid. Consider a video about changing a flat on different styles of e-bikes. A rider has to be able to repair on the road/trail or get it home or to the shop - that's just reality - and hub motors need to be designed for easy wheel removal.

Nice video. It's gives people a good idea what an eBike is capable of doing.
