Hey which should i buy road bike or a mountain bike
-
How well does a Roadbike keep it's tire air? Also, approximately how much faster does a road bike go? On a mountain bike I can pedal between 25 and 30mph on flat ground. Would I see a 10mph increase or better? I've been thinking of getting a roadbike for commuting. I live on a mountain, the lighter weight would be more helpful. I hear some people say you can get mud guards so the water doesn't splash on you, have you seen any accessories like that? Thanx in advance

I advise that all who purchase a bicycle replace the inner tubes will bell slime tube. Bell slim tube eliminate flats and are much stronger allowing more psi

Not having the handy cash to buy a gravel designated bike, I did swap out tires (Specialized Trigger PRO (tubeless compatible). Also, my mountain bike front fork can be locked out, so I don't have the 'bounce' effect that really does eat up your power inputs a lot. The frame is heavier than a dedicated road bike for sure, but with the new tires, and the front fork locked-out, it's not terrible. In my area, I have to ride on dirt, hard surface roads, and stretches of gravel (and there is single track too), so it's not a real pain to swap out tires when needed. This is a compromise, of course, so it's not perfectly ideal. But it works well enough for me at this time. (I've even put aero-bars on this bike for longer, windier stretches where I'm off the gravel roads and on the black top---but I NEVER use them ON gravel!)

what about front fork lockout for MTB on the road bruh

Hello there ! Nice video !
I found a carrera kraken mountain bike on ebay for 150gbp. Although I really like to cycle in the countryside, I'll use it more frequently in London to go to work, supermarkets ect. Do you think its alright to use a mountain bike into the city? I find city bikes really uncomfortable for me.
Thank You
