http://electricbikereview.com/cube/suv-hybrid-sl-27-5/ The CUBE SUV Hybrid SL 27.5 is a high performance urban electric bike with light weight carbon fiber fork and an automatic shifting system that maintains the cadence you set with NuVinci H Sync. Larger Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires provide some cushion, 27.5" wheelset strikes a balance between efficiency and maneuverability. Bosch Centerdrive motor system is extremely responsive and efficient, positions battery and motor weight low and center on the frame for improved balance.

would be better paired with Brose motor.more quiet.

Great video! This ebike has all the features I currently want - NuVinci tranny, Gates carbon drive and Bosch mid-drive motor. What are the mileage ranges in all electric and pedal assist modes?
-
Great vid as always dude ... Nice job... 👍

I'm pretty sure I'm purchasing this bike, you said you're 5'9 and are using the 16" model? I'm the same height and currently have a Treck 17.5". Figured the 18" would be good or would you recommend the 16"?

Hi, I have a quick question regarding the size of the bike. What size did you review, and how tall are you / what is your leg inseam ? The reason I am asking is that the frame comes in 3 sizes which is limited when you are tall. But since the frame is a sloping one, I wonder if for a 36" inseam / 6"1 tall the large (20") would be sufficient.
Thanks.

The Pro version of this bike with the drop bar and all carbon parts actually makes this bike weigh less than my mountain bike by two pounds. Considering this is an e-bike, that is incredible!
There are only 3 things that drive me away from buying one right this minute:
1) The claimed range is very bad, maxing out at 18 miles
2) The hub motor is 250 watt and that's it; if they had a 350 or 500 watt option that would be optimal
3) The motor only assists up to 20 mph; I want one that assists up to the legal max, i.e, 28 mph like the Specialized Turbo S
For a Pro version with a 500 watt motor, better range, and 28 mph max speed I would pay upwards of $5500. The only thing that drives me away from getting a Specialized Turbo S which has everything but the drop bar is that it costs $7000!
Very sexy e-bike, with a few downsides that would ultimately leave me wanting more. -
freakkin awesome these mountain ebikes; ill definitely have to test ride a few soon!! I now only have to find a few thousand euros....

Good reviev but it's a shame That reviewer is not black that's pure racism!

Great review, thanks! I was looking into the Cube SUV bikes and read about the Pro you mentioned. How to they compare? What happens when the SL's battery runs out? I'm hoping the gears still change?
Asking because the price tags are very different over here in Europe... The pro is on sale for 2120$ and the SL is 3060$ -
everything is about money$5000.00,wow

What kind of mileage u getting out your bike too a full charge on normal speed ????
-
Do you hear any rumblings of Bosch upping the power on their system anytime soon? That's a chunk of change to pay for mid level output.

Right when I think you've just reviewed my dream bike, you come with another cool one! Haha. Thanks for the great reviews, and this auto-shift feature had my wife's eyes opened wide.

Good review of an interesting bike Court. The power delivery is pretty much what makes this bike unique. Are we about to square off as to standard shift vs. auto trans? There is a lot to be said for both types, no? Seems that auto is most useful when the rider is very busy as in off road and the like. For years I have enjoyed my stick shift cars but in the city like the auto trans. Cars and bikes are not very comparable. Great new bikes emerging.

You sure do get around!

How does it feel starting from a dead stop - for example, if you were in traffic starting off from a red light?
-
Can anyone recommend me an ebike in the $2500 range?
-
I ride a Cube pedal bike, if the e-bike is anything like the other bikes they produce it should be a winner.
-
Wow, that's unbelievable its basically like an automatic Motorbike, would be so strange to get used to, not having to shift gears. That is the coolest piece of new technology I have seen on a electric bike so far. So crazy how advanced they are getting.
