Configuring KT-LCD3
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
Quick guide on the menus which are a bit tricky to navigate to until you get used to it. Sorry for vertical vid but as you can see 1 hand is in a cast. For a cheap chinese LCD it actually has quite few features: * limited but configurable amp limiting * limited but configurable min voltage * configurable speed limit (max 72km/h) * cruise control * supports various motor configurations. * motor temp sensor support * control head lights (if controller has output). Notes: * If the screen does not light up you are not in the first config menu. * If you failed to get the screen to light up, turn the bike off and on (hold middle button for 2-3 seconds) before retrying by holding the top and bottom down at the same time. * If you hold middle button longer than ~2 seconds it saves and exits config. * If holding middle button to save but not exit does not work, try cylcing settings to see if the screen stops flashing. * You can only go to the next menu deep if the screen is light up and no LCD segments are flashing. I didn't get the off and on throttle switch or the (PAS) with the1500 WATT POWER CIRCLE. Do I need both hooked up to run or just the off on the throttle?

is the display removable?

I want to reset the odometer to zero. How is this done? I tried a C10 global reset and it did not zero the odo.

After a couple quick tests that successfully spun the wheel, my display now displays a "spinning circle" icon in place of the ambient temperature in the lower right when the throttle is pulled. Also, the brake icon in the top center is always on whether the levers are pulled or not and whether they are even plugged in or not. Is this display when the interlock is active or inactive? Any ideas what is keeping it from running? Could the brake interlock be erroneously triggered internal to the controller?

Interesting video and helpful in confirming what I suspected about different versions of the kt lcd3 ...I bought one from a US vendor and it was like this one, C menu settings until C12 only! C13 and C14 do not appear for some reason? without C13 one cannot enable regen braking control for Direct Drive motors :(
A 2nd unit I bought directly from the factory with a controller, did have those settings. It seems for Sondors or other Geared hubs, the manufacturer has disabled these menus, making them less useful as replacement screens if you need regen on your DD hub. -
Thanks for that, all sorted

hi mate, really helpful .. but can you help!? I attempted to goto the config menu by holding down the up and down buttons.. now the screen has gone off completely .. and subsequently only stays on if i hold down the power button? i've tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery to no avail.. the throttle works so long as the power button is held down... :/ any advice? thanks in advance!

Can you buy a KT lcd3 by its self? Mine came with a botched connection to the + (the original solder joint is knackered so they've manually connected it with a piece of wire/metal which has been poked through the PCB) and sometimes it comes loose on rough ground and you have to shake it to get it to turn on again

Cannot engage cruise control function, does this require configuring in the set up?

Thank you ...?

did this display come with a 5 pin adapter, or some kind of blocky looking plug adapter?
-
how do I get a copy of the PDF file that shows the settings for the KT-LCD3 you mention...
thanks in advance -
Is there a way to alter the Wattage?I have the KT-LCD3. I have a 500w motor, but when using bike it dont go higher than 250w. I was told when I purchased the bike that the power could be altered.

Do you know how to do a factory reset? Messed with settings & now I am only using half the wattage that the motor is capable off.
