Building WORLDS FIRST REAL OAKEN WOOD Drift Trike!!! Our member Andre is our Drift Trike artist... He's got the most awesome design ideas and brings beautefull results... He always loved the nature and that's why he decided to ...TAKE A PIECE OF WOOD AND... build a Drift Trike with it. He dried the branch for 2 months before he started his work. First he peeled of the bark and than sawed it. After that he planed the branch. Now he sawed the metal pieces for the axis of the Drift trike. He invested a lot of time to invent an interchangeable axis, so he later has the chance to replace or renew it. After the sawing he drilled the pieces and cut them. He filed the edges and a profile he wanted for the "old" optic. The axis he welded and as next step he derusted the metal to prepare it for lacquering. The handlebars and the axial bar of the Trike got a biting green tone for the leaves of trees and grass in the nature. The axis itself is black. After the drying he drilled the holes in the branch with the help of the prepared metal pieces. The branch he used is the part of an old oak in the woods. He oiled the oak to keep its optic and give it the chance to work. Because of oiling u have the chance to easily repair scratches of Drift Trike fights afterwards without the need of complete grinding. Scratches shouldnt be that deep, because oak is one of the strongest woods in the world. Additionally he prepared an iron cross, that he heated up with a blowtorch and branded it into a leather piece. That one he fixed on the saddle. Finally he screwed all together. Another leather piece got a place on the handlebars of the drift trike. Only imagination is a limit, not the material for a real drift trike.
