BMC Teamelite Vs. Trek Procaliber
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
The BMC Teamelite 01 XX1 and Trek Procaliber 9.9 SL are race-ready XC machines with a twist. To find out which is best, we tasked resident racer Joe Norledge to test them head to head. iOS - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/what-mountain-bike-bike-magazine/id911339506?mt=8 Android - https://play.google.com/store/newsstand/details/What_Mountain_Bike?id=CAow7r-IAg&hl=en_GB

These designs seems absolutely brilliant for my type of local trails. Hope these catch on with other manufacturers. Trails too nargly for hardtail but fs would be overkill.

The Trek is a beauty!

The Trek Procaliber 9.9 SL with the RS1 is 1000 times better than the BMC in every aspect! It's like comparing a Ferrari to a Hyundai vehicle! I've ridden both bikes and the Trek will do circles around the BMC, Bike Radar is Biased! I've ridden a lot of Hardtails for the past 20 years and The Trek is by far the best Hardtail I have ever ridden!

Did BMC look at Bromptons when coming up with the elastima idea ?
-
Guys there's no elastomer on the Trek. It's actually just a cover for the IsoSpeed decoupler. How the Trek actually works is by decoupling the top tube/seat stay triangle from the seat tube allowing the seat tube to flex independently.

Very good review.. no biased comments.. moar of these.

That Trek is a monster, I really like it, but if I would be choosing an xc hard tail for racing, I would definitely take the Specialized Sworks stumpy but not with the rs1 brain, I quite like the Sid brain..

when/are we ever going to see lockable rear suspension; the same way you can lock out your front shocks for climbing on some downhill bikes?

great vid
-
can u do a video on giant bikes they r my favourites.

C'mon Bike Radar/What MtB - get your act together! Having the QR lever pointing up into the fork travel on the RS-1, as you have, can result in the stanchion hitting the lever as it goes through its travel, potentially writing off the fork as well as causing a crash. SRAM put a big label on the maxle to warn you about this and make it easy to adjust. The Fox fork looks a lot like it is also set up incorrectly on the video, bottoming on even a medium hit.
Other than that, an RS-1 is available right now in retail spec, boxed with a full set of spare seals/o rings and other spare parts, for £700 - £800, so forget your quoted £1400 price..... -
Can you guys do a episode on quality budget Wheelsets

energy lost through heat? the amount of energy you would actually lose through heat is so miniscule it's not worth mentioning. energy lost in the compression you get back it rebound.
-
...weighs about 20 lbs, so a good 5-600grams lighter......... Why the mix of weight measurements?
-
You need to make lots more of these comparisons 👍🏻

B to the M to the C...
-
what is that hand in the background?
-
The trek is £6000, the bmc £4500

Thank you for your review

I've ridden the BMC with xtr di2 and found it to be less efficient and about the same traction as my alloy Scott scale, I also found the bmc was rediculous oh steep in the head tube and it made it very hard to descend
