Is it me, or did Mountainbikes become very expensive in the last 8 years ?

How do these compare to the calibre bossnut? Can it stand side by side with them? Are these ones miles better or just a tiny bit? For me I consider £1000 a hell of a lot of money for a bike and obviously I'd rather spend less, but I'd prefer to spend £1500 and get something great rather than something just ok for £1000. I'm not sure what I need to spend to get a great full suspension bike.

The racing Ralph tires isn't bad at all, its just meant for high speed XC styled race, not so much on trail run, so doesnt seem fair to me to judge it by testing it on a trail

I'm trying to decide between you're winner of the under £1000 category, the Calibre Bossnut and you're winner on this video the Vitus Escarpe. Other than the dropper post is it worth spending the extra money on the Vitus? I'm also slightly sceptical about a Go Outdoors own brand bike. Have they been around long enough to have any kind of long term reviews?
