very well explained. Thanks for your expertise!

thanks, followed all your steps and my new brakes are all setup. biggest thing was the cable adjustment holding the brake tip, and the aha moment was turning the caliper.. Thanks a lot for this.

I'm Currently seeking new pads and have been doing a little research on some pads that won't harm over heat my rims, this is a huge problem for me. I found some pads on amazon claiming to produce less heat but I'm not sure. Have you tested these pads yourself? goo.gl/KBJZNJ

I took my front tyre off to repair a puncture. Had to force the wheel a little bit off through my Tektro TK-R312 caliper as I could not get them to release enough. Put the wheel back on and now I have massive brake rub. Brilliant isn't it. What should I do?

I have a wobbly back tire and my brakes rub against them

What type of bike is that? And brand

...on the one side but it doesn't rotate at all when I loosen the bolt, at least not right away. The brake has a sort of star looking bit, then the rough surfaced washer that touches the fork. The washer isn't spinning at all. Any tricks other than using more torque?

Ok, installed my first set of Shimano Ultegra brakes and I'm having an issue with the front brake rotating counter clockwise (when viewed from the front of the bike) on it's mounting bolt. The brake was centered and tightened to the torque spec for the frame. After a ride, I sometimes find the brake rotated so the left pad when viewed from the front is almost touch the rim. Brake caliper is hard to turn by hand but will turn with effort. Thought it could be cable sleeve length pushing...

You might wish to buy a cheapie "spinner" (trainer), they serve dbl duty, on bad weather days you can ride inside & they also hold your Bike upright for adjustments like these, I have one & I highly recommend it.

Wordage-wise a great tutorial clip, but your camera guy needs to be WAYYYY closer to the action as soon as you get to talking about the parts on the brake. Tell yer camera dude to forget about the potential of ManLove at crotch-level , and just git in closer to the action. The video result will make for a much better tutorial all-around.

Very helpful, now my brakes are properly set up for the first time since I bought my bike lol

Chris King headset and cheap brakes. Wonderful priorities there.
