But, some of the simpler aspects of trials; the real basic skills, are the basis for a bunch of skills that can really help you to move your trail riding on to the next level. This video covers five of them; trackstand, wheelie, bunnyhops, side hops and endos/stoppies. Is there anything that you'd add to this list? Let us know in the comments. this is all good to know, but being obese I probably will have to do a smallerversion on my bike not sure how well my bike will handle me doing it as severe as your doing (and I wouldnt be doingit on trial) I figure biking will be my best best for exercise since my weight hurts me so bad after a long walk that I am out of commission for a couple of days, non weight bearing and treadmill for me this year as I figure out my low carb diet (which has been going pretty good so far)

I ride Mtb for 2-3 jears now and about 2 of them were with a cross country bike. I am able to hop pretty high nearly everywhere also on trails, but i can't wheelie a little bit. I watched many tutorials, but i still don't know whats most important for a good wheelie. Can someone help me out?

Love the groove. what song is that? :-)

As I recall, I learnt to side-hop first as it was easy to roll alongside a clear footpath (sidewalk?) and judge the height I wanted.
Muscle memory did it's thing after that and my riding style changed to match the obstacles I could clear - It made biking a lot more fun.
