it's winter here minus 30 and snowing out time to pimp the ride out grab some new tires pedals chain and sprocket maybe new saddle so she's prime for spring ugh I hope I didn't bag my back rim to bad for I can't true a rim worth shit went hard this season didn't maintain it very well but whatever I had a blast and surprised what my bike could do

Bryan - I've heard pedal strikes are a big problem with this bike because the frame was designed to hold 29 wheels. Did you have more pedal strikes than you do with most other bikes? If so, would you recommend going another direction for a new bike purchase?

I will echo all the good vibe comments, sweet job on the vid.thanks for being objective. I really liked this bike in the parking lot but also really like the Yeti sb5. Can you compare to that.?

That's weird I am 4/10 and I ride a 27.5 inch weels is that to big?
-
Ain't the knock block first and foremost for the fork crown the cables were just an extra bonus? I have known to be wrong though.
-
Hey man, did you notice much of a difference in climbing on the 27.5+ rather than on a 27.5?
-

Like your videos man! Have a quick question tho, have you ridden any other 120mm travel bikes? I recently ordered a Scott spark 945 2017. Don't know if you are familiar with Scott, but that model is a 29er with 120mm of travel, and I am just wondering how much of a difference it is between 120 vs lets say your 150mm Bronson? This will be my first full suspension bike, and my biggest fear of getting a bike with more travel is that they would be a pain to bike uphill vs 120mm. But judging from some of your videos you climb well on almost every bike :D So maybe my fear is just an illusion and I should have gotten a bike with a bit more travel... (I hope not tho... :P )

just took a look at this bike today it looks slick but I'm not sure I'm sold on it yet. Dang store doesn't do demos. So far I got heart set on a s-works stumpy. Cant wait to see you do a video on that one lol (hint.. hint)....

17 psi?? Sheet that's Low but usually how much to you run on regular tyres personally?

I have to agree with you, when l tested the a lower end model it was not to my liking either. Left a lot to be desired. Another great ride by the way.

couple things., there is no large in trek as you mention but there is an 18.5 and a 19.5 which i have seen people at 5'10 ride. i'm the same height and ride the 18.5. any idea which you rode? also trek says that knock block is to keep the fork from smacking the frame since they beefed up the front end. kind of curious how much this will limit stem options

Pedal stikes - well I have been riding this bike for 2 month now and just figured out the pedal striking. Firstly get rid of the Chupacabra 2.8s. They have avery weak sidewall and collapse the whole bike. Go with Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.8 or the Maxxis 2.8s, they bring the bottom bracket up by almost 2 cm. Secondly remember you are riding the new metric shock and the rear pressure needs to be 20lb above rider weight. If you set it to blow through the travel on the descend mode you don't have enough air. So set the rear shock to 20 lbs above your weight and check the sag to 20%. If you do those two things your pedal strikes will virtually go away.

the knock-blocks not just so you don't tear tour cables. It allows for a straight downtube which increases frame strength, the knock-block stops you turning your fork crown into the downtube as they overlap without the curved tube. It's also a brake away part iirc so crash hard enough and you can see :)

Just curious, what camera did you use, mount, etc.
