2015 Giant Talon 4 - 27 5 Mountain Bike Check - BikemanforU
Fahrräder, Tests, online, Rezensionen, Bewertungen
Giant USA's Talon 4 is a 27.5 mountain bike offers a bare bones set-up to get you into the action. BikemanforU notes the modest Shimano's Acera rear derailleur and then makes it clear that an entry level bike with hydraulic brakes - Tektro in this instance - is clear validation that hydraulics are a trend no longer. At an estimated $600 retail, Talon 4 delivers value at a price that won't break the bank. Talley: Two thumbs up from YouTube's award-winning guru of bicycle repair. Wait what, I never remember my talon 27.5 4 2015 having a silver chain, maybe it's time to clean...

This is a good bike for the dough. I found a SCOTT that is the exact same thing as a Talon 4, basically, but in SCOTT colours! Slightly more expensive too. Just noticed I need to adjust my pre-load. On this bike it's just some kind of progressive spring in the shock, not pneumatic or anything. Very sturdy bike, bit on the heavy side, but properly adjusted it will shift pretty well, the cheap Suntour shock actually works ok. Tektro brakes are great, so much better than the old caliper style, quiet, strong braking, cut the weight etc. If I'd had more money at the time I would have gone the Talon 4 route, but as an entry-level this is a great bike.

I won one of these in a raffle last saturday, and it´s the best bike I`ve got for the money I spent on it. EVER!! xD

I bought this exact bike as entry level and I have to say it has proved itself. can't beat the price and the components it comes with. might not be rock shocks or fox but it gets the job done! very happy with it no complaints what so ever. honestly jusy thinking of upgrading the from forks besides that this bike is perfect.

Very nice bike $600 price range seems respectable. I actually like the colour, I not normally a red person more a orange but, that red is pretty nice on that bike. Thumbs up!

First of the year you titled the show "Spring is in the air," what's in the air right now Bikeman?!! Looks like you're getting clobbered by a storm that would even make Buffalo a little bit jealous.
Nice looking bike for the money, love the hydroformed tubing and color-scheme. I know how much that front fork weighs though...that's the Achilles heel...steel is real alright, and in a fork it's a boat anchor. Has anyone seen what some of the high end forks go for though? Ok, back to steel! : ) -
Nice bike for the money. I always tell people if you want to start riding get a decent bike. You won't be disappoint. Hope you have your snow boots ready up there.

Nothing like a new bike to make you feel like a 10 year old again. When I win the lottery I'll ride a new one every week, butt I'll be putting my old Brooks on them for posterity.
